The Solar Of Solar Module - 977 Words

Purpose In the present era where energy demands growing rapidly the solar module is one of the solutions and a good one. â€Å"More energy from the sunlight strikes the Earth in one hour (4.3 Ãâ€" 1020 J) than all the energy consumed on the planet in a year (4.1 Ãâ€" 1020 J)† therefore solar energy has a bright future ahead. The first solar cell was invented in 1953 and had efficacy rate of 4 present while toady’s solar cell is 40 present efficient. SolarCity is using the one of the efficient solar panels which yields 30 to 40 percent more energy than similar size solar module available in the market. Components There are many components those makes a solar panel. These components can be defined as external and internal components. A basic unit of the solar module is a solar cell and many solar cells create one solar module and more than one solar module creates an array. External Components External components are components which are used in the solar module’s external body as mention in the figure below in layers. Frame Framing play a very important role in a solar module because it will hold the panels together in addition, it protect the solar module from many environmental factors for instance wind and rain. Aluminum is commonly used in the solar module framing because of its unique properties. †¢ Aluminum can be recycle †¢ Aluminum is light in weight and yet gives the similar strength as steel against the wind and other environmental factors, therefore aluminum frame makeShow MoreRelatedEssay on Solar Module case931 Words   |  4 PagesStudy Analysis Nanosolar is a start-up company and expects to be one of the first manufacturers to produce thin-film solar panels using copper indium gallium (di)selenide (CIGS) technology. Nanosolar is focused on selling a single type of thin-film Photovoltaic (PV) module called the â€Å"Nanosolar Utility Panel†. The utility panel is 50% less energy efficient than c-Si modules, but being 90% less expensive to produce. Strategic Options: (1) Continue to invest in European and Asian markets. (2)Read MoreThe Connection Of Solar Module And Sensor Parameter1108 Words   |  5 Pages3.7.2 Proteus Simulation Figure 3.6 shows the connection of solar module and sensor parameter. The temperature of the solar sense by temperature sensor LM35. The temperature of the solar can also be used with humidity sensor which it can sense the both humidity and temperature of solar surrounding. The LDR act as an irradiance meter to detect the light intensity from the solar panel. However, the irradiance meter is impossible to perform in this project because of its higher cost. The variableRead MoreEfficient Power Processing Topology For Solar Module Using Power Plane Analysis2585 Words   |  11 PagesEfficient Power Processing Topology for Solar Module Using Power Plane Analysis N.Narmadhai 1, R.Santhanadevi 2 1 Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Government College of Technology, Anna University Coimbatore- 641013, Tamilnadu, India. 2 P.G Scholar, Department of Electrical Engineering, Government College of Technology, Anna University, Coimbatore-641013.Tamilnadu, India, Mobile: +91 9629110597. The main components for solar system are solar charge controller, inverter, battery bank, auxiliary energy sources and loads (appliances). †¢ PV module – It can convert sunlight into DC electricity. †¢ Solar charge controller – It regulates the voltage and current coming from the solar panels going to battery and prevents battery overchargingRead MoreFirst Solar, Inc.1544 Words   |  7 PagesFirst Solar, Inc. located in Huntington Beach is a design and manufacturing company found in 1999 who produce photovoltaic modules, or solar panels, through the use of thin film semiconductors (Reuters, para 2). The company however, has a much earlier history than scribed. In 1984, inventor and owner of Solar Cells, Inc Harold McMaster manufactured solar cells from silicon (energyandcapital, para 2). However, as silicon became more expensive, McMaster decided to switch to cadmium telluride. ThisRead MoreSt Clement s Retreat And Conference Centre1615 Words   |  7 Pagestransformations of the building for visitors and retreatants began in the mid-seventies [1]. And in recent years, its accommodation and facilities has been increased and the center is working toward a sustainab le future. This can be achieved by installing solar photovoltaics systems and energy efficiency strategies. In general, the electricity energy mostly comes from burning fossil fuels such as natural gas or coal. And with the development of society, there is an increasing demand for energy. However, thereRead MoreThe Distribution And Logistics Of Solar Panels888 Words   |  4 PagesD. Logistics and Operations The distribution and logistics of Solar panels involve unique challenges which a supply chain logistics partner should understand and provide customized solutions. (World Trans Inc.) The logistic company should understand the solar energy landscape and have the capabilities to provide transportation of raw materials, distribution to the site, warehousing the panels, final mile delivery, reverse logistics, waste management and installation. (JSI Logistics) We at CFN, recommendRead MoreMaking Solar Technology Viable Power Source1381 Words   |  6 PagesNicolas Le Gorrec ENVS 279 Karina Johnston November 23, 2015 Making Solar Technology a Viable Power Source If the current rate of consumption continues for oil, the planets entire oil supply is predicted to run out within the next 14 years. 21 years after that, our entire natural gas supply will run out. The reason is because the non-renewable resources we rely on are being used much faster then they can naturally be produced. As Peter Harper proposed, the problem of contemporary society can beRead MoreSolar Energy : Solar Power Systems For Houses And How The Humans Benefited From It983 Words   |  4 PagesThis research will discuss solar energy in three points which are what solar energy is, solar power systems for houses and how the humans benefited from it. Solar energy is the light and heat which are coming from the sun, and a human create them for his benefits since ancient time ago. Also, solar energy is the important kind of green energy. Moreover, humans have used them by using a range of modern technology that is constantly evolving. It includes harnessing solar energy technologies using thermalRead MoreThe Sun Is One Of The Most Significant Sources Of Renewable Energy Essay1134 Words   |  5 Pagessemiconductor device that directly converts the energy of solar radiation into electric energy. In general, an element that converts sunlight into electricity is called a PV device. The fundamental PV device is the PV cell, while a set of connected cells form a panel or module. As an array either a module or a set of modules can be considered cite{Breza2013}. The purpose of this chapter is to provide an introduction into the photovoltaic solar energy and to present the fundamental knowledges on the
